Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL)

This is where you start your flying adventure.

Individualised training in Cirrus aircraft

The Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL) is your introduction to flying. As your first licence, an RPL is the first step in your flying journey towards achieving your Private Pilot Licence, your Commercial Pilot Licence and beyond!

Recreational Pilots License (RPL)

The practical skills & fundamentals of flight.

WHAT’S INVOLVED IN RPL TRAINING?

You take the controls. Along with your highly experienced instructor, you’ll work through the basic lessons required to complete your RPL.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Control the aircraft
  • Perfect your take-offs and landings
  • Fly without your instructor
  • Handle emergencies

These lessons are the fundamental building blocks of becoming a safe and capable pilot. At the end of your RPL training you can sit your RPL theory exam and flight test or continue straight onto PPL training.
