Basic Flight Training
Just starting out and not sure where to begin? Or maybe you’ve had a taste for flying and want to take the first steps towards getting your licence.
Trial Introductory Flight
Your first introduction to flying. Get a taste of what it’s like to fly an aircraft with this initial one hour introductory lesson (approx. 30-minutes airtime).
Foundations of Flight
Take off with this three lesson package, including pre-flight briefings, flights & debriefs. Lesson schedule: effects of control, straight & level and climbing & descending.
Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL)
As your first licence, an RPL is the first step in your flying journey towards achieving your Private Pilot Licence, your Commercial Pilot Licence and beyond.
Private Pilot Licence (PPL)
Your Private Pilot Licence (PPL) allows you to fly your friends and family anywhere in Australia and builds on the foundations learnt in the RPL course.
Advanced Flight Training
Take your skills to the next level and become a safer pilot by completing one of our advanced training courses.
Instrument Rating
The mark of a safe and professional pilot, the Instrument Rating allows you to fly in non-visual weather conditions and remain under the watchful eye of air traffic control throughout your flight.
Cirrus Training
Fly the world’s best selling general aviation aircraft. With an emphasis on individual competency, this course is designed to get you flying in a Cirrus aircraft quickly, efficiently and safely.
CAPS® Training
CAPS® training is essential for every Cirrus pilot. Our experienced instructors will guide you through multiple scenarios where you may need to deploy CAPS®. Avia is the only facility in Australia where you can pull the CAPS® handle.
Multi-Engine Flying
A prerequisite for most commercial opportunities, or for those looking for extra complexity, a multi-engine rating will expand your capacity and skill as a pilot.
